(NEWS) MESCH WINS PAPER AWARD AT C&T 2015
By MONIKA LECHNER
It is with great pleasure that we announce that a meSch contribution to the Communities & Technologies Conference 2015 has been awarded with a best paper award!
Our partners from Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), Dr. Luigina Ciolfi and Prof. Daniela Petrelli, have won a paper award at the Communities & Technologies Conference (C&T) 2015. Their paper “Studying a Community of Volunteers at a Historic Cemetery to Inspire Interaction Concepts” was presented by Dr. Ciolfi at C&T 2015 in Limerick (Ireland) in June 2015 and selected as one of the conference’s best three full papers.
The paper, based on work conducted on meSch by SHU, describes in detail an ethnographic study of volunteers at Sheffield General Cemetery in order to understand their activities and to inform the design of tangible interactive experiences.
Following the award, Dr. Ciolfi and Prof. Petrelli have been invited to submit a version of the paper for a special issue of the prestigious “ACM Interactions” in early 2016.
The conference paper is available for download from the ACM Digital Library:
