(NEWS) BEST PROJECT PAPER AWARD FOR MESCH

meSch won a best paper award at the Euromed Digital Heritage Conference 2014, where 438 papers were submitted in total and 158 papers were accepted.
The 158 accepted EUROMED2014 papers consists of 35 full papers, 49 project papers, 52 posters /short papers and 22 workshop papers. Of these, 15 papers have been nominated and awarded for the best paper award: 5 long paper awards, 5 project paper awards and 5 short papers/posters awards. meSch won an award for the project paper entitled: ‘meSch, Material Encounters with Digital Cultural Heritage‘, that was elected to be the 2nd best project paper presented. The paper was written by Daniela Petrelli (SHU), Elena Not (FBK), Areti Damala (UoS), Dick van Dijk (WAAG) and Monika Lechner (DEN) and was presented by the project coordinator, Daniela Petrelli. Award Dedication The conference best papers awards were dedicated to the memory of WERNER WEBER, who recently passed away, as an acknowledge of his achievements as a former member of the EU Member States Expert Group on Digitalisation and e-Preservation in Cultural Heritage (MSEG). For all those who would be interested in finding out more about the papers presented in the conference the SPRINGER Lecture Notes in Computer Science Proceedings containing the full and project papers is now online and will be free to be download for a few days ONLY! The Short paper proceedings (POSTER papers) have been been published by MultiScience Ltd and can be purchased on their website.
