Hybrid Materials

The size of computing components is continuously shrinking so we can start to imagine a future in which the digital and the physical are fused to create new hybrid materials that have both physical and digital properties. Let’s explore it!
In an early study we looked at <a href=”interactive objects”> …. </a>  that display autonomous behaviour when handled. We found that interactive objects are engaging and that the combination of material and digital features is promising. With this research we start to explore what happens if the material itself, instead of the object, has both digital and material properties.
